I am currently testing a wide variety of visitor monitoring mechanisms on the site. This is in order to ensure visitor experience is as optimal as possible. I'm not interested in finding out about you as a individual, but about wider patterns of usage. No personally identifiable information is collected.

At the moment, these mechanisms include:

• Recording of 1 in 10 visitor sessions (this does mean recording, i.e. including mouse movements)
• Cookie-based monitoring of visitor activity
• Analysis of server log files

Put bluntly, if you object to this type of anonymous visitor tracking, then I would advise you not to use the site. However, if you are concerned by this, feel free to contact me.

I use third-party web beacons from Yahoo! to help analyse where visitors go and what they do while visiting the site. Yahoo! may also use anonymous information about your visits to this and other websites in order to improve its products and services and provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
